Financial Reporting & Accounting – Assistant Manager

Overview

In this role you will support public sector finance teams by delivering accounting and financial reporting services within the FRAS group. You will work on complex reporting challenges, provide technical accounting insights, and develop client relationships. The position sits in a growing Public Sector Assurance practice, offering varied work across NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and other bodies. Responsibilities

• Delivery of client fieldwork on defined projects with emphasis on quality and risk management
• Meet project timescales and deadlines
• Apply technical accounting knowledge to resolve complex issues
• Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and clients
• Suggest potential new service opportunities to grow the business
• Continuously push personal and business development within the firm

Key requirements

• Professional Accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA or CIPFA)
• Good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and their public sector application
• Interest in clients and ability to discuss business challenges
• Interest in maintaining and developing technical knowledge
