Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will shape electrical design across water treatment projects within the Living Water Enterprise partnership. You’ll guide electrical engineering from concept to commissioning, ensuring safe, compliant delivery and strong client collaboration. You’ll mentor junior engineers and work with modern and legacy systems to improve water and wastewater infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs for water treatment equipment on client sites, covering Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA (including legacy systems).
• Produce and review technical specifications and procurement schedules; evaluate supplier bids and technical submissions.
• Supervise and mentor Graduates and Engineers to develop skills and knowledge.
• Apply and contribute to design standards, including Client and WIMES standards.
• Engage with clients, build relationships and support them to achieve project aims.

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs meeting design, quality and safety standards
• Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical problem-solving approach
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region
