About the Role
As Regional Support Manager you will work closely with the Area Directors and Quality Team to provide hands on support to homes across the Bridge Oak Group.
Focussing on identifying areas requiring improvement, supporting homes with action plans, strengthening compliance and governance, helping Registered Managers and their teams to deliver consistently high standards of care.
Avisible and supportive presence across the Group. This is a varied role requiring someone who can quickly understand the needs of a service, identify priorities and work collaboratively to deliver positive and sustainable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Quality, Compliance & Improvement
- Work alongside the Area Directors and Quality Team to identify and address areas requiring improvement across Bridge Oak services.
- Undertake quality, compliance and governance audits and support homes to develop and implement effective action plans.
- Monitor progress against improvement plans, providing ongoing support and challenge to ensure actions are completed and embedded.
- Support homes to maintain compliance with CQC requirements and other relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
- Review audits, incidents, safeguarding concerns, complaints and other quality information to identify themes, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyse reports and regulatory feedback and ensure lessons learned are translated into improved practice.
- Support homes preparing for CQC inspections and other external reviews.
Care & Governance
- Audit and monitor record keeping and documentation to ensure regulatory and legislative requirements are met.
- Sample audit care plans to ensure they are person centred, accurate, current and reflective of residents’ needs, wishes and preferences.
- Audit the effective implementation and review of care plans as part of the wider quality assurance process.
- Audit and oversee admissions processes to ensure new residents are admitted safely and in accordance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Monitor safeguarding processes and support homes to ensure residents are protected from harm.
- Investigate allocated complaints, ensuring appropriate actions are identified, implemented and reported.
- Support homes to develop robust governance arrangements and embed continuous improvement.
Operational Support
- Work closely with Area Directors and Registered Managers to provide practical operational support to services.
- Provide additional support to homes experiencing operational, quality or staffing challenges.
- Support Area Directors and Registered Managers with operational priorities and improvement initiatives.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Build positive and effective working relationships with Registered Managers, Deputy Managers and care teams across the Group.
- Provide coaching, guidance and constructive challenge to support managers in achieving sustainable improvements.
- Attend regional team meetings, local authority meetings, safeguarding meetings and other external meetings as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Quality Team, Area Directors and wider senior leadership team.
- Promote Bridge Oak’s values and a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for an experienced care professional who combines strong quality and compliance knowledge with practical operational experience.
Ideally, you will have:
- Home Management, quality, regional or senior management role within the care home sector.
- Strong experience within residential and nursing care for older people.
- A detailed understanding of CQC requirements, the Health and Social Care Act and wider regulatory requirements.
- Experience undertaking audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective action plans.
- Experience supporting care homes through improvement or turnaround programmes.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, governance, care planning and quality assurance.
- Experience working alongside Registered Managers and senior care teams.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to provide both support and constructive challenge.
- A hands-on, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Area Directors, the Quality Team and wider senior leadership.

Additional Requirements
