Attendance Engagement Officer: Minibus Driver

Additional Responsibilities / Key Tasks

• To collect students for a targeted home-to-school attendance support service, hours may vary dependent on target students.
• To support in carrying out home visits with a member of the attendance team.
• Willingness to do additional work driving groups of students on trips that are organised during the school day as required.
• To follow procedures regarding safety / maintenance checks of the minibus.
• To report any concerns regarding safety / maintenance to the Site Manager.
• To maintain the vehicle in a good clean condition.
• Willingness to undertake attendance admin tasks if required.

Ability to:

• Drive safely. Applicants must have a full clean driving licence and whilst not essential hold a Category D1 licence and be able to meet the medical requirements for driving a passenger vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with staff and students.
• Relate well to young people.
• Maintain control of students supported by one of our Attendance Team.

Skills

• Excellent driving skills.
• Good knowledge of local area.
• Desirable – previous experience driving a minibus.
