Your new company n An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a highly respected and growing specialty insurance business operating within the Lloyd's market. This is a key leadership role, offering broad exposure across financial control, technical reporting, regulatory compliance and stakeholder management within a fast-paced underwriting environment.

Your new role

• Lead all aspects of financial control for the syndicates and associated entities.

n

• Oversee the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.

n

• Ensure timely and accurate statutory, regulatory and Lloyd's reporting.

n

• Manage the annual audit process and act as the primary contact for external auditors.

n

• Support Solvency II reporting requirements and wider regulatory submissions.

n

• Review and enhance financial controls, policies and procedures.

n

• Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders.

n

• Partner with underwriting, actuarial and operations teams across the business.

n

• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives within finance.

n

• Lead, develop and mentor finance team members.

What you'll need to succeed

n

n
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).

n

• Proven experience within the Lloyd's and London Market insurance sector.

n

• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.

n

• Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements.

n

• Experience managing audits and working with senior stakeholders.

n

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.

n

• Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

n

• Experience of syndicate reporting and Lloyd's returns
