Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE) – Professional & Financial Risks – Bristol

Overview

In this role, you will manage a varied caseload in professional indemnity and coverage matters while supporting major insurer clients. You’ll work within a Bristol-based PFR team, collaborating with partners to deliver timely, commercial advice and help shape client services. The role includes both pre-litigation and litigious work, plus advisory tasks on risk, coverage, and regulatory issues. Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of professional indemnity and coverage matters
• Deliver timely, high-quality advice aligned with client expectations and SLAs
• Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues in a growing team
• Support business development and contribute to client initiatives
• Refine and improve team processes and service delivery
• Capture and report Management Information in line with client requirements

Key requirements

• NQ-4 years PQE (or equivalent experience)
• Strong litigation experience; insurance experience desirable but not essential
• Ability to provide clear, commercial advice and build strong client relationships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and prioritisation abilities
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to an inclusive team culture
• Confidence to use initiative while recognizing when to seek guidance
• High levels of integrity and confidentiality
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
