Overview
As an NPI Engineer in the Product Support Organization, you drive service readiness for new KLA products across Etch, PVD, CVD, and Release Etch portfolios. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and global Service teams to ensure smooth deployment and sustainable support. Your work focuses on minimizing serviceability risk and building scalable support plans. This role offers hands-on problem solving, learning from experts, and growth within a fast-growing, global semiconductor company.

Responsibilities
- Develop service strategies across the product life cycle to reduce risk, including cost and reliability modeling, retrofits, IP protections, calibrations, and PM optimization
- Build expertise in system operation, integration, calibration/diagnostics through hands-on learning from Tech Support and Design Engineers for Alpha/Beta systems and retrofits
- Create and iterate Product Support Plans, SRR, DFS, and COS models with cross-functional input from engineering, marketing, and finance
- Develop product service education through training, AR-enabled learning, coaching, and knowledge capture tools
- Perform spares obsolescence risk analysis and coordinate with Spares Planning to mitigate supply chain risk
- Contribute to service alerts and Plan of Action for critical issues and sustaining activities
- Capture Best Known Methods (BKM) and improvements in knowledge databases
- Collaborate with the cross-divisional NPI Best Practice Team to enhance BKMs and provide training and feedback
- Manage and support beta installs on-site, audit procedures, identify training gaps, and drive continuous improvement for future installs
Key requirements
- MSc or BSc level degree with relevant work experience
- Experience in Systems/Electrical/Mechanical or NPI/Process Engineer roles
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills
- Knowledge of problem solving methodologies and models
- Enjoy teaching, troubleshooting, and explaining complex concepts to diverse groups
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%
