Overview

In this role you drive end-to-end sourcing and category strategy for last mile, air, sea, warehousing and automation in ASOS’s global logistics network. You will partner with cross-functional teams to optimise costs, improve performance, and align with sustainability goals. You’ll monitor market trends, manage supplier performance, and use data-driven insights to shape network design and procurement strategies. This is a fast-paced, collaborative opportunity to influence how a leading online retailer operates at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sourcing strategy and performance for last mile, air, sea, warehousing, and automation categories
  • Build cost models, benchmark rates, and identify savings across delivery, freight, fulfilment, and automation solutions
  • Track global trends in parcel delivery, freight markets, warehouse tech, and automation to inform category strategies
  • Develop and manage SLAs, KPIs, and QBRs with courier, freight, and warehousing partners
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Tech, and Sustainability to support priorities
  • Assess and mitigate operational, geopolitical, capacity, and compliance risks across networks and warehouses
  • Support ASOS sustainability goals by evaluating emissions and promoting lower‑impact options
  • Identify emerging technologies in delivery, automation, warehousing, and fulfilment and assess viability
  • Use analytics, forecasting, and scenario modelling to guide sourcing and performance optimisation
  • Present category strategies and performance insights to senior leadership

Key requirements

  • Category management expertise—strong in courier/last mile with exposure to air, sea, warehousing, or automation
  • Global network understanding—knowledge of international carrier networks and cross-border logistics
  • Commercial strength—negotiation, cost modelling, and contract optimization across logistics
  • Data fluency—comfort with dashboards, financial models, and operational data
  • Supplier partnership building—ability to build accountable relationships with partners
  • Senior stakeholder engagement—confident influencing leaders in a fast-paced setting
  • Pragmatic problem solving—solutions-focused and able to navigate ambiguity
