In this role you drive the process design for water and wastewater projects from outline to detailed design, with delivery across a UK-focused team. You’ll provide technical assurance to ensure designs meet standards and best practices, while identifying opportunities to improve whole-life cost and sustainability. You’ll work closely with commercial, operational, and construction colleagues to develop practical, safe solutions and support client aims. Responsibilities
- Lead the development of process design deliverables (process models, mass balances, control philosophies)
- Provide technical assurance of process designs and ensure compliance with standards
- Identify opportunities for innovation to meet life-cycle cost and net-zero goals
- Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient, practical, and safe solutions
- Engage with clients and adopt a one-team approach to support their aims
- Support development of the process engineering team through coaching and resource planning
Key requirements
- Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, or related field
- Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience
- Effective communication with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical problem-solving approach
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites
