HV Electrical Engineer

Overview

In this role you’ll design robust, efficient electrical systems for infrastructure and buildings, applying sustainable design and innovative thinking. You will collaborate with the Critical Systems team and clients to deliver tailored solutions that meet codes and reduce environmental impact. You’ll stay current with power and building services tech, supporting projects from concept through delivery. Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for HV/LV power distribution, standby power, UPS, and earthing for infrastructure and building projects
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations using ETAP and Revit while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and clients across the project lifecycle
• Incorporate sustainable design principles and identify innovations to improve energy efficiency
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to present concepts and updates and build strong relationships
• Plan and manage electrical projects in collaboration with other disciplines to deliver on time and within budget
• Support site inspections to verify design compliance and participate in sustainability initiatives

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Professional qualifications such as IEng or working towards Chartership
• Proven experience in electrical design within power or building services sectors
• Proficiency in Revit and ETAP; familiarity with Trimble
• Knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and codes
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills
