Responsibilities
- Prepare corporation tax computations and returns
- Assist with corporate tax advisory projects
- Support R&D tax relief claims
- Assist with tax planning and corporate restructuring
- Gain exposure to tax due diligence and transactions
- Support work relating to share schemes and capital allowances
- Undertake technical tax research
- Liaise with clients, HMRC and internal teams
- Manage assignments, deadlines and client deliverables
- Support and mentor junior members of the tax team
Key requirements
- Previous corporate tax experience within an accountancy practice
- ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification, or part-qualified
- Experience preparing corporation tax computations and returns
- Good knowledge of UK corporate taxation
- Interest in developing tax advisory and tax planning experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Good organisation and time management
- Proactive, commercial and client-focused approach
- Alphatax experience is advantageous
