Overview

As a partner in our Residential team, you will drive growth and raise our national profile in the Living Sector. You will work with top-tier clients on high-value residential development and investment projects, mentoring colleagues and shaping the strategic direction of the practice. This role combines leadership, business development, and delivery of sophisticated contracts and funding arrangements within a collaborative, inclusive culture. You will contribute to innovative real estate solutions at a top 20 law firm, supported by a strong development and technology mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-profile real estate practice in the Living Sector
• Support and drive the firm’s strategic growth and national profile
• Coach and mentor team members, guiding career development
• Identify and pursue opportunities for innovation and process improvement
• Deliver complex high-value development and investment contracts (e.g., option agreements, development funding, turnkey contracts)
• Contribute to strategic client management and cross-functional collaboration
• Promote the firm’s culture, DEI initiatives, and wellbeing programs

Key requirements

• Legal qualification with 8+ years post-admission experience
• Strong knowledge of the UK Living Sector and proven ability to build a practice
• Understanding of revenue prioritisation and business development
• Effective leadership and coaching capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and innovation
• Commercial mindset and efficiency in delivering legal services at a top firm
• External profile as a leader in the field
• Experience with high-value residential development contracts and related agreements
