Design Manager – Commercial Refurbishment

Overview

In this role you will lead the design process from pre-construction through delivery on commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects in London. You will coordinate consultants, subcontractors and design teams to ensure timely, coordinated solutions for Cat A/B fit-outs and complex interiors. The role offers exposure to a range of schemes from small to £10m-£20m+, with a focus on contractor-side design leadership and delivery. This is an opportunity to shape design outcomes for high-demand commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage design process from pre-construction to delivery
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and design teams
• Oversee design for Cat A/B fit-out, refurbishment and complex interiors
• Ensure coordination across projects ranging from small to £10m-£20m+
• Facilitate collaboration between client, design and construction teams
• Support on design quality, timelines and budget adherence

Key requirements

• Proven contractor-side experience in design management for commercial fit-out, refurbishment or D&B projects
• Experience coordinating multiple design disciplines and stakeholders
• Background with office/commercial interior projects
• Knowledge of pre-construction to delivery lifecycle
