Overview
In this role, you will lead the stewardship and development of LHUK property assets, driving safe, cost-effective projects that align with budgets and timelines. You’ll serve as the primary property contact for the Yeovil site, coordinating with tenants and internal teams to optimise space and compliance. You will influence estate strategy, governance, and continuous improvement across the PI&E function, shaping long-term site initiatives. This is a hands-on, onsite position with a strong emphasis on stakeholder collaboration, safety, and delivering value to the business.

Responsibilities
- Deliver property and tenant projects on time and within budget while maintaining landlord-tenant relationships
- Support development and delivery of LHUK estate and workplace strategy, ensuring resources and budgets are in place
- Create/develop business cases for project spend and support 5-year and annual budget planning
- Forecast and manage property and estates spend; ensure adherence to approved budgets
- Manage resources according to PI&E governance (RIBA stages 1–7)
- Provide technical advice for estate optimisation and long-term planning
- Ensure HSE arrangements comply with UK legislation, policies, and CDM process
- Coordinate property needs with Infrastructure Projects for Leonardo clients
- Lead PI&E planning applications and liaise with Local Authority Planning Control
- Lead lease, licence, and tenant matters with Legal and property advisers
- Maintain landlord-owned properties per lease; manage modifications and warranties
- Maintain relationships with LHUK landlords and representatives
- Lead quarterly business reviews with suppliers and BCM reviews
- Participate in recruitment of new Project Managers/Leaders and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to department initiatives and governance processes
- Attend UWG meetings when required
- Support internal parties with risk management and governance events
Key requirements
- Qualified professional and/or in-depth experience in property and estates management
- Recognised Project Management qualification desirable
- Knowledge of property, environmental and construction services practices, legislation and trends
- Project and risk management skills
- Familiarity with project governance, budgeting and cost control
- Understanding of leases, licenses and tenant management
- Experience supporting property transactions, feasibility studies, and design phases
- Strong interpersonal and cross-level communication abilities
- Financial competence including budgetary control
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate level qualification
- CDM knowledge and facilities management familiarity
- Estate optimisation and workplace space planning experience
