Front End Engineer React Senior / Lead

Overview

As a Lead Front End Engineer, you own the frontend for the core product, a financial operating system for live events. You will shape architecture, drive performance and scalability, and stay hands-on with React development. You’ll work closely with product, design and backend teams to translate requirements into polished, responsive interfaces and integrate APIs, payments and real-time data. You’ll make critical technical decisions on tooling and build pipelines, and mentor junior engineers to uphold best practices. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on delivery in a fast-growing scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of front end applications using React
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver accessible, responsive UIs
• Partner with backend engineers to integrate APIs, payments and real-time data
• Own front end tooling, architecture and build/release pipelines
• Mentor junior frontend developers, conduct code reviews, ensure best practices
• Maintain performance, maintainability and scalability across web products

Key requirements

• Lead or senior Front End Engineer / Developer experience
• Advanced React skills
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Component-driven architecture and state management (e.g. Redux, Context API)
• Experience building responsive, cross-browser, high-performance web apps at scale
• Comfort with ownership and technical decision-making
• Thrives in a start-up/scale-up environment with ambiguity
