Product Owner – UK POS and Payments

Overview

In this role you own the POS & Payments roadmap for a large, international organisation, driving enhancements across UK operations. You collaborate with business stakeholders, technology teams and vendors to improve efficiency, customer experience and commercial outcomes. You act as the subject‑matter expert for POS solutions, leading continuous improvement and maximising value from the platform. The role combines strategic roadmapping with hands‑on delivery in a hybrid, transformation‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the POS & Payments roadmap and backlog
• Lead delivery of new POS and payment initiatives from concept to implementation
• Drive optimisation, adoption, and continuous improvement of POS capabilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into product improvements
• Work with vendors and technical teams to maximise platform performance and value
• Ensure solutions comply with operational, regulatory, and security requirements

Key requirements

• Proven Product Owner/Manager experience in POS and Payments
• Hands‑on knowledge of Oracle Simphony or a comparable enterprise POS platform
• Experience managing roadmaps, backlogs, and prioritisation in Agile environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Understanding of payment technologies and POS operations in retail or hospitality
• Experience delivering system improvements, upgrades, implementations, or transformation projects
