Product Data Scientist

Overview

As a Product Data you will work within a cross‑functional squad to influence Activation, Risk and Configuration products for Platforms and SMB onboarding. You’ll design experiments, build analytical frameworks, and drive data‑driven improvements at scale. You’ll collaborate with engineers to ensure robust data collection and model proof‑of‑concepts that translate into real automation opportunities. This role offers high visibility in a growth fintech environment where your insights shape product strategy and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build experiments and analytics frameworks to measure operational efficiency and ROI of new releases and tooling for Platforms & SMB
• Collaborate with Data Analytics Engineers and Software Engineers to log and model high‑integrity data for insights
• Identify bottlenecks in the merchant onboarding journey using statistical analysis and deliver prioritised automation recommendations
• Design and run PoC machine learning models and heuristic solutions to evaluate onboarding automation feasibility
• Support data collection and modeling efforts to enable data‑driven product decisions

Key requirements

• Proven experience in data science or product analytics in a high‑growth tech environment
• Strong SQL skills and ability to read/write/iterate Python for data analyses
• Foundational ML knowledge (statistics, clustering, basic NLP); production deployment not required
• Analytical mindset converting operational problems into data‑driven solutions
