Commercial Manager

Overview

Framatome seeks a Commercial Manager to oversee contractual and commercial performance on major UK projects. You will ensure alignment with client contracts, drive risk-aware bidding, and safeguard the company’s commercial interests. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimise opportunities and ensure contract compliance. This role supports Framatome’s mission to deliver safe, reliable, low-carbon energy and plays a key part in high-value nuclear projects, including Hinkley Point C.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Commercial processes (including Procurement) are implemented and followed
• Contribute to developing processes to improve and maximise growth
• Draft and develop robust Commercial documents with Legal to protect Framatome’s interests
• Ensure organisation complies with contract obligations
• Communicate contract terms and financial aspects to internal and external parties
• Coach and develop employees on best practices for managing complex contract issues
• Nurture client relationships to ensure long-term value
• Involvement in negotiating and agreeing contracts prior to placement
• Involvement with the bid process to highlight commercial risk
• Adhere to Commercial processes
• Provide commercial awareness training across relevant teams
• Favourably negotiate and agree contracts prior to placement
• Maintain robust commercial rigour in the bid process and clarify risks in bids

Key requirements

• Proven experience in a Junior contract/commercial management role with high-value, complex contracts
• Background in corporate finance, including financial reporting, budgeting, and cost management
• Foundational experience in complex negotiations and stakeholder management
• Strong knowledge of contract terms and construction industry regulations
