Overview
In this role you will lead the commercial delivery across a portfolio of PFI contracts for Equans, ensuring robust governance, risk and value delivery. You will manage stakeholder relationships with clients, suppliers and internal leadership, driving profit improvement and compliance. The position involves negotiating, assessing opportunities and risks, and producing clear reports for senior audiences. You’ll work across multiple sites in the UK, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver against financial plans and contractual obligations. This is a strategic, high-impact role that supports Equans’ energy services mission and financial performance.

Responsibilities
- Lead commercial delivery across a portfolio of PFI contracts and coordinate with Sector Director
- Manage risk, revenue opportunity vs cost, and commercial viability of variations
- Oversee negotiations with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Produce regular/ad-hoc reports for senior/non-commercial audiences
- Maintain contract governance and ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Improve service quality by clarifying contractual responsibilities across teams
- Enforce commercial compliance via audits and standards
- Manage contractual claims/disputes with clients and third parties
- Provide day-to-day commercial support to contract management teams
- Ensure governance with subcontractors/suppliers and adherence to Delegated Authority
- Support DLAs and SFM governance processes within contracts
- Lead governance and expectations for commercial performance across the contracts
Key requirements
- Degree or diploma in Law, Business, Surveying or Built Environment
- Good understanding of UK commercial law (Construction Act, etc)
- Experience with PFI contracts and contract governance
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to influence at all levels
- Resilient and self-motivated decision-maker
- Excellent knowledge of PFI contracts and commercial management principles
- Chartered institution membership is preferred
