Overview
As a Mobile Electrical Engineer, you will deliver electrical maintenance across the MET Police estate in North West London. You’ll handle planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, and fault finding to keep stations safe and operational. You work on-site with the client, maintaining compliance and accurate records, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rota. This role supports a high-profile public sector contract and offers training opportunities and broad portfolio exposure. Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Perform inspections, fault finding, and minor electrical works
- Complete electrical installations, upgrades, and maintain compliance documentation
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate with clients
- Participate in a 1 in 6, 24/7 on-call rota
Key requirements
- Qualified to Level 2 & 3 City & Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Willingness to obtain MET Police CTC Clearance (7–10 months)
- Experience in facilities management or mobile maintenance environments
- Previous experience on regional on-call rosters
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
