Senior Electrical Engineer – Water Projects

Overview

As Senior Electrical Engineer in our Water Solutions team, you will lead electrical design for water and wastewater projects across the UK, from rural upgrades to major schemes. You will work within multidisciplinary groups on multi-year frameworks and partner with Tier 1 contractors and utility clients. The role focuses on delivering feasible, detailed designs and supporting construction and commissioning, while mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities

• Design and review electrical and ICA deliverables for water and wastewater projects
• Conduct feasibility studies, outline and detailed design, and provide construction/commissioning support
• Ensure high technical quality, contribute to bids, maintain client relationships
• Manage project budget and programme while delivering to quality standards
• Mentor junior staff and supervise work of others

Key requirements

• BEng in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with water/wastewater exposure
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status
• Experience in designing water/wastewater deliverables is desirable but not essential
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership of technical issues
• Ability to produce and check design deliverables and coordinate work of others
