Overview
In this role you will support and accelerate the university’s research grant portfolio by guiding faculty, schools and institutes in securing national and international funding. You will lead and assist the development of competitive funding applications, fostering cross‑unit collaboration and stakeholder engagement. The position sits within the Research Development Team and contributes to the university’s strategy to grow grant income and research impact. You will work in a hybrid setup, shaping best practices and building relationships with funders to enhance the university’s profile in research funding.

Responsibilities
- Advise and support Faculty, School and Institute leadership to grow the university’s research grant portfolio
- Lead and support the development of competitive national and international funding applications
- Develop and nurture internal and external networks to increase research income growth
- Engage with funders and external stakeholders to optimise intelligence, influence and profile
- Contribute to service improvement and communities of best practice within research development
- Communicate confidently to influence academic and professional services stakeholders
Key requirements
- Significant track record of securing research funding in one or more university areas of research strength
- Experience developing national and international funding opportunities and partnerships
