AVP Quality Control Analyst, Financial Crime

Location: Glasgow

Rate: Up to £400 per day, Inside IR35

Level: AVP

Engagement: Contract, Right-to-Hire

The Opportunity

We are supporting a leading UK financial services company with a major Financial Crime programme and are looking for experienced AVP Quality Control Analysts to provide immediate operational support within its Financial Crime function.

This role would suit someone with a strong background in Financial Crime operations who has significant hands‑on experience conducting independent quality reviews across KYC, AML, investigations or related case management activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent Quality Control reviews across Financial Crime cases.
  • Assess cases for quality, accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify control weaknesses, errors and potential areas of non-compliance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on recurring quality issues.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements to processes and controls.
  • Produce clear and accurate QC findings and management reporting.
  • Provide constructive feedback to case workers and operational teams.
  • Work closely with Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime stakeholders.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Proven hands‑on Quality Control experience.
  • Strong background within Financial Crime, AML, KYC, Risk, Compliance or Investigations.
  • Experience independently reviewing complex cases.
  • Strong understanding of regulated processes and control environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify control weaknesses and complete root cause analysis.
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills.
  • Comfortable operating at AVP or equivalent level.
