Overview

In this Platform Management role within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, you drive day-to-day portfolio decision-making for private market portfolios, focusing on liquidity, capital activity, and fund structure execution. You collaborate with investment teams, engineering, and investor relations to deliver superior investor outcomes across funds and accounts. You’ll work on complex fund structures, capital calls, and performance metrics while supporting technology initiatives and regulatory reporting. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position in a high-performance environment with meaningful client impact.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily liquidity management and forecasts to assess funding needs
  • Develop liquidity strategies and coordinate capital activity and facility actions
  • Conduct attribution analysis to explain historical returns and improve risk-adjusted performance
  • Monitor investment guidelines and concentration limits; assess investable capital across funds and accounts
  • Coordinate fund allocations, deal execution, closing, and harvesting activities
  • Collaborate with internal and external advisors to resolve legal, compliance, tax, accounting, and operational matters
  • Support fundraising and fund-structure creation discussions with cross-functional teams
  • Prepare management reports and analyses for ad hoc senior management requests
  • Assist with capital calls, distributions, and investor/regulatory reporting on fund performance
  • Contribute to technology initiatives related to responsibilities
  • Deal & Structuring Management: manage fund structures, cash movements, deal allocations and pipeline; ensure timely execution and reporting
  • Handle portfolio allocations, deal closing, and harvesting; coordinate with teams on legal and tax matters
  • Drive rebalancing across new fund launch closes
  • Provide ad hoc data and presentations for senior management
  • Shared: support regulatory inquiries and prepare analyses for ad hoc requests
  • Support technology initiatives related to responsibilities

Key requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in a financial services setting
  • Strong analytical orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across internal/external teams
  • Financial acumen to prepare cash flows and performance metrics impacting investor returns
  • Self-starter in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a small team and be proactive
