What You'll Be DoingLead and support a range of IT security projects, ensuring secure and timely deliveryManage and maintain cybersecurity tools across both on-premises and cloud environments, with cloud being a key focusImplement, configure and update security solutions including EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, IAM and cloud security toolsCollaborate with internal IT, development and third-party teams to embed security across the organisationConduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans and OSINT investigationsMonitor emerging threats, zero-day vulnerabilities and new CVEs, assessing their potential impactInvestigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending improvementsDeliver engaging security awareness training across the businessProvide security guidance for new technologies and strategic initiativesSupport day-to-day security operations and enforce strong change control processesAssist with SOC alerts, investigations and escalationsWhat We're Looking ForProven experience in a Cyber Security Engineer or similar technical security roleStrong understanding of network, infrastructure and application security principlesPractical experience with security tools and platforms across on-premises and cloud environmentsFamiliarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST and CISExperience in risk assessment, vulnerability management and incident responseHands-on experience configuring and managing cloud security tools and IAM solutionsKnowledge of EDR platforms and vulnerability management processesRelevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CEH or Azure Security Engineer would be desirableExcellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex security issues for non-technical audiencesProactive, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentWhat's on offerCompetitive salary packageHybrid working for better work-life balanceOnsite amenities including free parking and an onsite canteen25 days annual holiday allowanceEnhanced maternity, paternity and adoption payBenefits portal with access to discounts, company perks and wellbeing resourcesEmployee wellbeing programme supporting mental and physical healthEmployee referral scheme offering up to 1,000Supportive working environment with an excellent work-life balanceLong service recognition and charity initiativesThis is an exciting opportunity for an experience Cyber Security Engineer to join an expanding IT team based in Dartford, If you are interested please apply with your updated CV.
