Assessor – Work Based Health & Social Care (Adult)39,184 – 43,190 1.00 FTE / 35 HoursBased at Falkirk Campus / Hybrid Working (some travel will also be required)Permanent

n About the Rolen Forth Valley College's Apprenticeships, Skills & Commercial Department is seeking a Work-Based Assessor in Health & Social Care, to join our dynamic team.

n

This role is pivotal in supporting and assessing candidates undertaking Health & Social Care qualifications. The ideal candidate will have relevant, current industry experience Including Workplace Assessor Award and Ideally hold Internal Verification Award and a strong knowledge and understanding of Health & Social Care practice.

Key Responsibilitiesn * Deliver workplace guidance and support to candidates in compiling and presenting a comprehensive portfolio of evidence that meets the qualification's performance criteria and evidence requirements.n * Conduct fair, safe, and reliable assessments of candidates' skills and knowledge in their respective workplaces.n * Maintain excellent communication and IT skills to effectively manage interactions, records, and documentation.n * Demonstrate a strong passion for your professional discipline, with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage your workload independently.n * Inspire, encourage, and motivate candidates, fostering an environment conducive to learning and professional growth.n * Actively participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary assessment team, contributing to the continuous improvement of assessment processes and practices.n * Build and maintain positive relationships with external organisations and employer partners, demonstrating a professional and approachable manner.

Essential Requirementsn * Proven, relevant, and up-to-date hands-on industry experience, preferably within Health & Social Care disciplines. (Adult)n * Exceptional communication and IT skills.n * Genuine enthusiasm for mentoring and supporting skill development within the Care Sector.n * Ability to work to tight deadlines and effectively manage personal workload.n * A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel to employer premises
