Overview
As Site Management Director at UCS, Dundee, you will steer the coating services site to safe, compliant and reliable operations while delivering the business plan and customer commitments. You will lead a 25+ strong team, grow the business, and shape the site’s development, focusing on efficiency, quality and safety. You will implement governance, manage budgets and risk, and partner cross-functionally to optimize end-to-end processes. This role combines strategic site leadership with hands-on execution in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Site Management team with clear objectives, feedback, and growth plans
- Build a resilient leadership team and succession/capability pipeline for UCS
- Act as P&O site lead and cover responsibilities
- Translate functional priorities into actionable site plans and allocate resources
- Deliver budget, cost control and cash discipline while safeguarding service levels and quality
- Ensure compliance across financial, trade, quality and regulatory areas
- Strengthen EHS, quality and operational excellence setup and update roles as needed
- Oversee site production activities ensuring efficiency and safety aligned with business objectives
- Embed governance, internal controls and compliance, monitor risks and drive corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement, standardization and digital enablement in Site Management with KPI tracking
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, resolve escalations, and improve end-to-end processes
Key requirements
- 10+ years of site, operations & commercial leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing environment
- Strong safety-first mindset and high safety standards
- Financial acumen, business ownership, customer focus and ability to manage complexity under cost pressure
- Experience with quality systems, EHS compliance, operational excellence and developing cross-functional teams
- Quick learner and ability to adapt country expertise (P&O, tax, finance) as required
