Overview
In this role you drive global banking relationships for Moody’s, shaping strategic account plans and enterprise value. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, advocate for Moody’s solutions, and lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver differentiated value. The position combines relationship leadership with AI-aware business strategy, travel, and hybrid work flexibility. Your work supports Moody’s mission to turn risk into opportunity for clients and society.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute global account strategy for major banking customers
- Serve as sector lead, shaping Moody’s commercial positioning for Banking
- Act as trusted advisor to Banking C-suites with insight on sector trends
- Build and manage a book of business to maximize impact and satisfaction
- Identify, negotiate, and close opportunities delivering enterprise propositions
- Translate market intelligence into pipeline strategy and account prioritization
- Collaborate with industry analysts, product leaders, and executives to deliver differentiated value
- Deepen C-suite relationships; represent Moody’s at external forums and events
- Occasionally travel up to 50% for client engagement; work in a hybrid model
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 12+ years of sales experience in data, analytics, or financial services
- Established executive-level network in banking or related domains
- Track record across multiple functions including frontline sales and account management
- Strong negotiation, strategic planning, and complex deal delivery
- Fluency in English and Japanese (essential)
- Global experience with virtual teams; multilingual preferred
- Basic understanding of AI concepts and interest in responsible AI practices
- Relationship management and diplomacy
