Role Overview:
n
Produce and develop mechanical designs from concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
n
Prepare technical documents, calculations, schedules, and design reports.
n
Work closely with civil, electrical, and process engineering disciplines to deliver fully coordinated designs.
n
Support design reviews, HAZOPs, risk assessments, and value engineering activities.
n
Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and handover stages.
n
Ensure all design work adheres to the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.

About You:
n
Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).Proven experience within the water, wastewater, or wider utilities sector.
n
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, pipework, rotating equipment, and associated infrastructure.
n
Proficient in relevant design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, 3D modelling, calculation software).Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality and efficient delivery. CSCS / EUSR Water Hygiene desirable.
