Overview

As Head of Finance for the UK & Ireland, you will own financial reporting, controls, compliance, and business performance in a complex multinational setting. You will lead the Accounting & Financial Controlling team, partner with senior stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency. You’ll ensure IFRS compliance and robust governance while supporting regional growth and strategic decision-making. This role offers a chance to shape financial processes, scale operations, and partner with cross-functional teams across SoftwareOne. You will play a key part in turning financial insights into actionable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end financial reporting, closing, IFRS reporting, and management reporting
  • Oversee complex accounting matters, reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and key estimates in line with IFRS
  • Partner with FP&A and external auditors for performance analysis and statutory audits
  • Ensure IFRS compliance, group policies, local regulations, tax requirements, and statutory reporting
  • Maintain strong internal controls and governance with documented accounting judgments
  • Monitor working capital, cash flow, liquidity, and balance sheet risks; oversee O2C, P2P, and R2R processes
  • Lead Accounting & Financial Controlling team; foster accountability and continuous improvement
  • Act as finance owner for ERP systems; drive process improvements, automation, and efficiency
  • Partner with Sales and business leaders to provide financial guidance while upholding governance
  • Support regional and global finance initiatives focused on reporting, compliance, and profitability

Key requirements

  • Extensive finance leadership experience in multinationals
  • Strong expertise in IFRS, statutory compliance, and group reporting
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft NAV, D365, or similar) and advanced Excel
  • Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and build cross-functional partnerships
  • Strategic, commercially minded with strong analytical skills
