Equities Prime Brokerage Product Controller – Associate

Overview

In this role you will ensure accurate daily P&L reporting and a well-controlled month-end close. You work closely with trading and finance partners to investigate drivers, explain outcomes, and strengthen processes. Your analysis supports desk leadership and senior finance stakeholders in decision-making. You will partner with front- and back-office teams to resolve reporting and control issues and contribute to projects that improve transparency and reduce risk. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position at a leading global financial services firm with a strong emphasis on controls and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily P&L reporting and related control checks
• Support month-end close activities ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
• Analyze P&L and balance sheet movements and explain key drivers to stakeholders
• Deliver clear reporting and insights to desk heads and senior finance management
• Partner with the business to implement robust controls and support new initiatives
• Coordinate with front- and back-office teams to resolve control, valuation, and reporting issues
• Investigate breaks and variances, document root causes and remediation actions
• Maintain strong process discipline and adherence to control standards
• Provide analytical and project support to improve reporting quality and operating efficiency
• Respond to ad hoc requests with accurate analysis and concise communication

Key requirements

• Relevant experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or related area
• Experience performing daily P&L reporting and month-end close processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a control mindset
• Ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships across functions and levels
