XVA Product Controller (Vice President)

Overview

As part of Nomura’s BRM XVA desk, you will oversee the FVA aspect and governance of the counterparty risk and funding processes within Product Control. You will collaborate with front office, risk, and offshore teams to strengthen controls, automate processes, and validate valuation for CVA and FVA. This role offers global coordination across Asia, Japan, the US and the Powai hub in India, with exposure to a broad product range. You will contribute to a high-impact control-centric function within a leading global bank.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily FVA coordination and oversight across regions (EMEA, Asia, US) and the Global Powai Hub in India
• Trade verification and daily P&L review; respond to adhoc queries
• Develop and maintain control frameworks for bespoke and developing business lines
• Partner with Front Office and other control functions to enhance governance and risk controls
• Understand product controls, risk exposure, and funding management methods
• Engage with traders and offshore teams to manage senior stakeholder relationships
• Drive process improvements and automation in XVA and related controls
• Support KRI reporting and daily flash activities

Key requirements

• Product Control experience
• Accounting qualification and/or numerate degree preferable
• Familiarity with credit, rate and FX derivatives
• Understanding of CSA impact on derivative valuation including CVA & FVA
• Strong numerical and communication skills; proactive problem solving
• Ability to discuss complex issues with senior stakeholders
• Planning and organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and deadlines
