Overview
In this role you will lead manufacturing projects and optimize processes to support high-precision turbocharger production. You will work closely with Design, Quality and Procurement to bring new or improved manufacturing methods to life, ensuring on-time delivery and cost effectiveness. You’ll tackle non-conformance through root-cause analysis, own inspection protocols, and implement improvements that scale across operations. This position offers hands-on CNC and measurement programming in a collaborative, people-first culture with opportunities to influence efficiency and quality at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage manufacturing projects from planning to delivery and cost control
- Create and maintain manufacturing routings, layouts and instructions
- Investigate non-conformances using root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Plan and perform inspection activities and generate non-conformance reports
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Quality, Procurement and external suppliers
- Define and procure jigs, fixtures, tooling, gauging and lifting equipment
- Generate and implement cost reduction initiatives
- NC programming for multi-axis Turning, Milling, Grinding and EDM
- Programming of CMMs using PC-DMIS
Key requirements
- HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- experience in a modern manufacturing facility with modern machining techniques
- problem-solving ability; capable of working independently and in a team
- knowledge of Siemens NX (CAM) and Hypermill is advantageous
- knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques
