Overview
In this role, you will shape land promotion and development strategies within a growing planning practice. You will support landowners, developers and project teams from early assessment through determination and appeal, contributing to wide-ranging projects across the UK. You’ll work in a collaborative environment on schemes from small residential to large strategic sites, driving planning analysis and policy interpretation. Responsibilities
- Assist with progressing strategic land opportunities through the planning system
- Prepare planning applications, appeal submissions and supporting documentation
- Undertake planning policy analysis, research and site feasibility reviews
- Produce clear, well-reasoned planning statements and technical reports
- Coordinate with technical consultants and engage with local planning authorities
- Support client communications and provide practical planning advice
- Manage tasks across multiple projects within agreed timescales
- Contribute to team collaboration and ongoing service development
Key requirements
- Relevant planning qualification (RTPI accredited or equivalent)
- Progress toward or achievement of chartered status
- Experience in consultancy, development or related planning environment
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy context
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
