Project procurement Specialist

Overview

In this role you drive end-to-end procurement for renewable energy projects, focusing on cost optimization, compliance, and timely delivery. You will work with engineering, legal, and project teams to source, qualify suppliers, and negotiate contracts within the UK & Ireland market. The position emphasizes EU regulatory awareness and cross-cultural collaboration to support grid-tied and infrastructure initiatives. This is a chance to influence procurement strategy in a fast-paced energy technology company and help accelerate the transition to sustainable power.

Responsibilities

• Procurement planning and project support for EPC/turnkey projects
• Coordinate with engineering, legal, logistics and project delivery teams
• Supplier qualification and contract negotiation
• Sourcing and category management
• Supplier/subcontractor onboarding
• Familiar with SAP (MM), Unifier, Coupa, Ariba, MS Office
• Knowledge of EU/local energy regulations & compliance (preferred)
• Fluent in English and Dutch (Nordic language a plus)

Key requirements

• Developed local supplier base for renewable projects (solar/wind) in the EU-UK
• Led RFQ and RFI processes, cost benchmarking, and supplier onboarding
• Collaborated with legal and technical teams on NDA, contract terms, and risk assessments
• Supported procurement activities end to end for utilities (preferably TSO/DSO)
• Worked with cross-functional teams to meet aggressive timelines and budgets
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business
