Senior Procurement Specialist

Overview

In this role you drive end-to-end procurement for a technology-led health and care organisation. You partner with spend owners to shape requirements, run sourcing and negotiations, and ensure compliant, value-driven outcomes. You manage a pipeline of contracts and renewals, balancing governance with speed in a fast-moving environment. You influence stakeholders across Legal, Compliance and vendors to deliver sustainable, ethical procurement that supports System C’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement and sourcing across renewals and new deals (software, SaaS, cloud, IT and professional services)
• Partner with spend owners to shape requirements and engage the market at the right stage
• Lead commercial negotiations with Legal, focusing on pricing models, renewals, obligations and exit terms
• Manage contract/renewal pipeline, prioritise work and maintain progress
• Apply Delegation of Authority; review third-party spend > 25k for pricing, governance and compliance
• Ensure procurement activity aligns with internal policies, controls and governance
• Identify cost-saving, supplier rationalisation and process improvement opportunities
• Support supplier performance management with KPI-driven reviews
• Collaborate with Compliance to manage supplier risk (information security, data protection, financial stability, business continuity)
• Promote sustainable, ethical, transparent procurement in line with System C policy

Key requirements

• End-to-end procurement and negotiation experience, with technology/SaaS/services exposure
• Track record of delivering value through renewals and competitive sourcing
• Comfort with pricing models (licensing, SaaS, consumption-based)
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to present recommendations
• Detail-focused, process-driven approach; proficient with Microsoft 365 and P2P systems
