Overview

You join Turner & Townsend to shape procurement outcomes for defence clients, supporting a cross-functional team delivering value across public and private sectors. In this role you will develop strategies, manage tenders, and oversee supplier relationships to meet project objectives and regulatory requirements. You will engage with senior stakeholders, lead negotiations, and drive end-to-end procurement for major programmes. Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist procurement strategy, advice, and guidance to defence clients
  • Identify, source, and acquire goods or services, ensuring compliance with public sector and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with objectives and client policies
  • Prepare tender packs and manage tender processes in a strategic environment
  • Negotiate, draft, and award contracts or contract changes, individually or with a team
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships
  • Collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement for major projects or programmes

Key requirements

  • Proven procurement experience in defence, construction, or infrastructure
  • Experience across procurement, contract management, and/or sourcing in sole source and competitive markets
  • Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 and/or JCT frameworks
  • Experience delivering service quality and managing stakeholders on complex issues
  • Ability to chair internal and external meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders
