Responsibilities
- Maintain Professional Awareness: stay updated on evolving fire industry technical issues and provide timely briefings
- Guide Fire Engineering Professionals: advise and deliver complex solutions for large construction projects
- Project Management: manage current and future projects, meet/exceed financial targets, nurture key client relationships
- Drive Technical Excellence: foster a culture of technical excellence and lead client relationships in fire safety
- Client Liaison: act as primary contact for clients with tailored advice
- Lead Discussions: facilitate design team, building control, and fire services discussions
- Industry Engagement: attend conferences to network and learn best practices
- Supervise and Train: mentor graduate engineers and integrate them into the team
Key requirements
- Background in fire engineering, preferably in a consultancy
- Bachelor’s or higher in Fire Engineering or related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering)
- Chartered Engineer or working towards status preferred
- Ability to work independently with initiative
