Senior Cost Planner – Clientside Property Developer

Overview

In this role, you will support a Central London property developer’s Development and Construction team with cost management across schemes from early design through delivery. You’ll work on high-density residential and mixed-use projects (£50m-£250m+), contributing to value engineering and risk identification in RIBA stages 0–3. You will build cost models and provide cost information to inform procurement and construction programming, helping protect profitability. This is an opportunity to shape complex developments and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver commercially successful schemes.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost management support across development and construction cycles to deliver commercially successful schemes
• Assist in early design risk identification and value engineering during RIBA stages 0-3
• Produce cost models and maintain accurate cost information for procurement and construction programming
• Offer analytical input to support profitability and delivery of projects
• Collaborate within the Development business and Cost Management team to optimize schemes

Key requirements

• Experience in a cost planning role within residential development
• Background in cost consultancy, estimating, or cost planning for a developer or main contractor
• Strong knowledge of cost modelling and feasibility studies in residential development
