Cost Manager (CI&U – PMCM)

Overview

In this role you contribute to pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying and Cost & Commercial Management for a range of projects. You will join the PMCM team to deliver QS services, manage commercial activities, and support project leadership. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional colleagues on building and infrastructure programmes, shaping financial outcomes and value for clients. The position offers exposure to iconic projects, professional growth, and a pathway to chartership within a global engineering firm.

Responsibilities

• Provide QS/Cost and Commercial management across project lifecycles (estimation, cost planning, procurement, cost assurance, post-contract financial management)
• Deliver QS/commercial project work or lead a QS/Commercial team depending on seniority
• Mentor staff, contribute to bid writing and business development, represent WSP at industry events
• Support cross-functional delivery for Building and Infrastructure projects for public and private clients
• Collaborate within the PMCM team to ensure programme and project controls alignment

Key requirements

• MRICS or Assoc RICS or working towards a professional qualification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in QS/Cost and Commercial competencies
• Where applicable, demonstrable management or project leadership experience at senior level
