Finance & Operations Manager

Overview

Trace is hiring a Finance & Operations Manager for the Private Credit team in London. In this role you will oversee loan portfolio accounting and operations, prepare MI for senior management, and manage cash, reconciliations, and controls. You will identify operational risks and drive improvements to processes and documentation. You will lead the team to meet KPIs and SLAs and contribute to finance operations projects. This is a growth-focused role within an investment management firm that values robust controls and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee loan portfolio accounting and operations for the Private Credit business
• Produce MI and analysis on loan book position for senior management
• Own cash management, reconciliations and operational controls
• Identify operational risks and drive improvements
• Improve controls and documentation of procedures across the team
• Monitor reconciliations across operational and finance systems
• Manage the team to ensure KPIs and SLAs are met
• Participate in finance operations projects as required

Key requirements

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with lending or private credit experience
• Experience in lending accounting and operations from onboarding through payments and reconciliations
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets
