Senior Security Solutions Architect

Overview

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will act as the senior technical authority, partnering with sales and partners to drive growth for the Qualys platform. You will shape how customers design, adopt, and scale solutions across asset and vulnerability management, patching, threat detection, compliance, and cloud security. You own the technical strategy for the partner ecosystem, delivering enablement and joint solution development. This role combines strategic direction with hands-on leadership across cross-functional teams to impact large-scale security programs.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead technical strategy for complex pre-sales opportunities to win strategic deals
• Lead executive-level discovery to translate customer security requirements into end-to-end Qualys and partner solutions
• Design and deliver executive architecture workshops, deep dives, and board-level briefings
• Direct high-complexity POC/POV engagements and standardize their execution across the team
• Identify gaps between current and target state and define adoption roadmaps
• Build executive-level trusted relationships with security decision-makers
• Shape proposal strategy with senior technical differentiation and business value narratives
• Lead partner technical enablement programs, curricula, and joint framework development
• Drive development of partner-delivered and managed security services as the senior technical architect
• Serve as primary liaison between customers, partners, PM, and Engineering to resolve complex technical challenges
• Author enablement content (guides, white papers, blogs, workshops) for internal and partner sales
• Identify systemic technical challenges and develop scalable enablement assets and automation frameworks
• Mentor and guide junior Solutions Architects and TAMs

Key requirements

• 8+ years in pre-sales, sales engineering, solution architecture, partner engineering, or customer-facing security roles with senior engagement experience
• Hands-on experience using the Qualys platform in large-scale Enterprise environments
• Proven track record working with partners, MSSPs, alliances, or channel organisations in leadership or enablement
• Experience leading vulnerability or risk programs at scale in large enterprises
• Expert-level hands-on knowledge across asset, vulnerability, patching, policy/compliance, cloud security, application security, and threat detection/response
• Ability to architect complex end-to-end security solutions from identification to remediation and recovery
• Strong understanding of security/compliance frameworks and their strategic application
• Deep knowledge of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Executive-level communication and presentation skills with ability to influence C-level audiences
• Self-directed, with judgment and ability to lead cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority
• Experience leveraging AI, automation, scripting, or workflow optimization to improve operations and outcomes
