AI Solution Architect (Presales)

Overview

In this role you define end-to-end AI architectures across a growing portfolio, guiding delivery and advising senior stakeholders. You combine deep technical delivery with consulting and pre-sales to shape AI solutions for internal transformation and external offerings. You will translate business problems into practical AI designs, mentor engineers, and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences. This is a unique, cross-functional role at a pivotal point in the organization’s AI journey with significant influence on technology choices and delivery approach.

Responsibilities

• Translate business problems into practical AI architectures
• Own solution design from requirements to delivery
• Architect agentic AI systems using model APIs, orchestration, RAG and retrieval patterns
• Choose between models, platforms, low-code solutions and custom development
• Design integrations, data pipelines and underlying data architecture for AI apps
• Work with Microsoft technologies (Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure, Microsoft 365)
• Establish reusable architectural patterns and engineering standards
• Consider security, governance, performance, resilience, data residency and cost
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers
• Support client conversations, technical discovery, proposals and pre-sales activity
• Present complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Key requirements

• Background in Solution Architecture, AI Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineering or technical consulting
• Experience across AI / LLM solution architecture
• Knowledge of agentic AI systems, RAG and retrieval architectures
• Experience with model APIs and orchestration frameworks
• Proficiency with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure, and Microsoft 365
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript
• Experience with APIs, integrations and data architecture
• Understanding of AI governance, security and cost optimization
• Technical consulting, stakeholder management or pre-sales experience
