Overview

In this role, you will drive the operational ramp-up and transition of a new distribution facility into business-as-usual operations. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness, establish processes, and coordinate a smooth site start-up. Your focus is on delivering a seamless go-live and stabilisation, while managing risks and stakeholder alignment. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused position that supports Primark’s supply chain expansion and efficiency goals. You will have a clear impact on how the new facility becomes an integrated part of the network.

Responsibilities

  • Lead activities to support distribution facility ramp-up and launch readiness
  • Coordinate transition from project phase to business-as-usual operations with new processes and controls
  • Track operational readiness milestones, identify and mitigate risks
  • Serve as liaison among project team, operations, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders
  • Support planning, coordination, reporting, issue resolution, governance, and stakeholder management
  • Monitor readiness plans, manage risks and actions to maintain progress and ensure corrective actions
  • Produce progress reports and provide analytics on milestones, readiness, risks, and go-live preparedness
  • Facilitate communication with operations and stakeholders and support post-launch stabilisation and regulatory compliance

Key requirements

  • Proven project management experience delivering complex operational change or site launches
  • Significant experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, or operational projects
  • Strong understanding of readiness, mobilisation, go-live, and transition to BAU
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong organisational, planning, prioritisation and risk management abilities
  • Pragmatic, hands-on, delivery-focused with problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical, reporting and coordination skills
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience
  • Flexibility to travel; additional languages advantageous
