Static Mechanical Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver daily maintenance of mechanical systems on-site at a premium property, ensuring systems operate as designed. You will collaborate with site leadership and soft services teams to uphold safety and performance. Your focus includes reporting issues to clients and insurers and contributing ideas to improve operations. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes reliable facility performance and client satisfaction. You will engage with cross-functional teams to drive safe, efficient building operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and related tasks
• Operate and optimize building performance using BMS and other platforms
• Manage subcontractors to ensure quality and compliance
• Adhere to safety protocols, participate in risk assessments, permit systems, safety audits, and incident investigations
• Produce timely technical and activity reports; communicate with team, clients and management; escalate major issues and assist in quotes for extra works

Key requirements

• 3+ years’ experience with mechanical, HVAC and pressure systems in operational environments
• Legionella control (L8) knowledge with at least 2 years practical experience
• 2+ years in Building Management Systems (BMS) use for monitoring/control
• Mechanically biased with strong knowledge of electrical/BMS systems
• Experience in high profile properties
• Understanding of SFG20
• Confined space awareness
• Qualifications appropriate to role requirements
