An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced General Manager to take overall responsibility for a premium residential community in Leeds. You will be responsible for the operational success of a luxury residential development, ensuring residents receive an exceptional living experience while maximising occupancy, revenue, and resident retention.
The Role
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the community’s day-to-day operations, including leasing, facilities management, maintenance, resident experience, health and safety, and financial performance. You will lead, inspire, and develop an on-site team while implementing strategies that enhance resident satisfaction, attract corporate tenants, and support the long-term success of the asset.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead all on-site operations, including leasing, facilities, maintenance, and resident services.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate a high-performing team.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, operational, health and safety requirements.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and community-focused environment.
Commercial & Corporate Lettings
- Drive occupancy through targeted corporate leasing initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and rental performance.
- Support pricing strategies and revenue optimisation.
Financial Management
- Manage operational budgets and expenditure effectively.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and KPIs.
- Produce variance reports and recommend improvements where required.
- Support annual budget planning and forecasting.
Property Standards & Facilities Management
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the highest presentation standards are maintained.
- Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programmes.
- Maintain a first-class resident environment across all communal facilities and amenity spaces.
About You
We’re looking for a confident and commercial leader with a passion for service excellence.
You will likely have experience in:
- Luxury residential property management.
- Build-to-Rent (BTR), Single Family Housing (SFH), hospitality, aparthotel, serviced living, or hotel operations.
- Managing large operational teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
