Overview
In this role you will lead sourcing strategies for key raw material categories at PZ Cussons, balancing cost, quality, supply risk, and innovation. You’ll collaborate across Supply Chain, R&D, Planning, Marketing, and Global Procurement to support growth, profitability, and speed-to-market. You will shape supplier partnerships and drive sustainable value, innovation, and continuous improvement in complex supply markets. This is a high-impact role with opportunities to influence strategy and tangible performance.

Responsibilities
- Own sourcing strategies for key raw material categories and develop supplier partnerships
- Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, and sourcing projects to improve competitiveness and margin
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Supply Chain, Planning, R&D, and Quality to bring new products to market
- Identify and deliver cost-saving, value engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop a diverse supplier network to support innovation and supply continuity
- Monitor commodity markets, regulatory developments, and global supply risks to turn insights into actions
Key requirements
- Significant procurement or strategic sourcing experience in FMCG, manufacturing, chemicals, ingredients or raw materials
- Proven track record of leading sourcing projects and delivering measurable commercial results
- Strong category management and data-driven decision-making in sourcing
- Experience with commodity-driven or globally sourced categories and knowledge of market trends and supply risk
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience
- MCIPS qualification desirable (or working towards it); chemistry background advantageous
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP platforms beneficial
