In this role you will support electronics development within a Defence & Security EMC context, guiding product designs to satisfy EMC requirements and building test capabilities. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement EMC-focused testing, simulations, and verification at the facility, contributing to robust, compliant electronics across projects. The position offers hands-on design leadership, with impact on how products meet stringent EMC standards and perform in demanding environments. Responsibilities
- Advise design teams to meet EMC requirements
- Design and produce test plans and bespoke electronic test solutions
- Support development of unique test capability for the facility
- Engage in EMC and Radiation Effects (RE) activities
- Collaborate with the test team to simulate environments at the EMC Facility
- Ensure good EMC practice and design across various projects
Key requirements
- Higher education or significant experience within Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC or similar
- Significant experience in electronic design, development, and delivery
- Experience in leading substantial electronic design work packages
- Experience with SPICE simulation tools (LTspice, ORCAD)
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of electronic technologies
- Ability to adhere to defined deadlines and budget limits
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work autonomously
