Overview
In this role, you will lead innovation projects across the EMEA region to translate emerging technologies into practical manufacturing improvements. You’ll work within the EU & Africa Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering team to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives from concept through deployment. You’ll collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, quality, and IT to deliver impactful solutions, prototypes, and scalable deployments. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a focus on shaping the future of manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and deliver innovation projects across the EMEA region within timelines and budgets
- Manage project resources (personnel, equipment, budgets) for efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition from development to implementation
- Design, prototype, validate proof-of-concept solutions and scale them
- Evaluate and apply technologies (AI, robotics, IoT, digitalization, AR/VR) to manufacturing challenges
- Ensure solutions meet standards, security, and IP guidelines
- Report progress, risks, and recommendations to leadership
- Build partnerships with universities, suppliers, and external tech providers
Key requirements
- 5+ years in manufacturing innovation, advanced manufacturing, automation, or related engineering
- Strong project management experience leading complex innovation projects
- Hands-on expertise in robotics and automation, data/digitalization, digital twins, or AI
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Technology, or related field; Master’s preferred
