Overview
As a Senior Project Engineer at Ingredion London, you will lead capital and technical improvement projects to improve plant performance and reliability. You’ll manage the full project lifecycle, coordinate diverse engineering partners, and ensure safety, budget, and regulatory compliance. You’ll provide technical support to Maintenance, EHSS, and Quality teams while mentoring less experienced engineers. Responsibilities
- Lead capital projects through all phases: concept to handoff
- Manage multiple projects with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop and review designs, P&IDs, process flows, and equipment specs
- Evaluate equipment and tech to improve plant performance and reliability
- Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in execution
- Integrate Green Book knowledge and relevant codes during projects
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Occasional off-hours support for critical milestones
Key requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related)
- 7+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing/industrial environments
- P.Eng. designation or eligible within one year
- Proven success managing capital projects and coordinating external resources
- Knowledge of design practices, industrial safety standards, AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present technical information clearly
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive results without direct authority
- PMP certification or active progress towards completion
- Strong project leadership and organizational skills
